Dgex is not real time?
« on: January 21, 2014, 08:22:01 AM »
Been waiting for 4 hours after a confirmed BTC deposit to be credited to my account on the dgex account page.  Just wondering.

Does it say its confirmed on you history? Or have you yourself just confirmed it?
I have waited up to 12 hours for deposits that i have confirmed, but were still pending, i think thats normal. At some point it will arrive. Just make sure you do not cancel the payment on dgex while its pending, if you do so, you will have to wait a very long time to get it back.
I dont have any experience with payments that are confirmed but do not show up though. In that case i would consider contacting dgex, after waiting maybe like another 4 hours.

I was waiting about an hour but then I resubmitted my deposit request.  Once I did that, my BC was instantly there.  I assume there's some kind of bug in the backend code that doesn't look at the bitcoin address often enough to see if the transaction has been successful.  that's my guess anyway.  So, if you transferred 4 bitcoins, just resubmit the request for 4 to be credited.  it won't harm anything...

BTC deposits are realtime, released for trading after 1 confirmation. DO NOT resubmit deposits. Your crediting at the same time was coincidence.

Many deposits do not get confirmed in the bitcoin blockchain because they include too small fee. It may take hours or even days to get past the queue for less than 0.0005 BTC fee paid.

Some deposits are lagged behind by our bitcoin daemon, this is being looked upon.

I tried several times to move NXT from dgex to bter.  It always takes about 1 full day to get the NXT to bter.  Is this normal?  In dgex it says 'confirmed' but it takes 24 hours to get the NXT to bter.  Who is to 'blame'?  dgex or bter?  I'd like to have it more realtime for obvious reasons.  Returning BTC from bter to dgex takes about 10 minutes so no problem there.  Anyone?

cheers

Any word on this bug? I sent BTC to my dgex account 6 hours ago. The transaction now shows 25 confirmations on blockchain.info and it's still listed as "pending" on my account.

BTER, our support has been messaged about this numerous times

There is a networkwide double spending attack on many bitcoin exchanges today, affecting DGEX slightly also. Please handle this through support tickets to DGEX.
