A lot of people DID join the forum specifically to join Nem.  I noticed it, and made an account for it.  I feel good with my Nxt, but it isn't going to be skyrocketinglike it did in December.  It will gain good value over the year I hope.  I hope Nem will strengthen Nxt like litecoin has done for bitcoin.

The suspicion is warranted, and there are people who tried to hoard stakes.  I think the more extreme accusations flying around ignore the fact that Nem and Etherium are currently big draws for the next big thing.  Etherium's project is kind of derailed and is at this point questionable.
There are lots of people who are flocking to cryptocurrency with the increasing awareness it's gained.  I was the 2nd guy in my office to get into cryptocurrency in december, now there are four of us.

And yeah I don't think I'd be interested if I was supposed to link a facebook account...

Also: i have to laugh at you for even suggesting that I am the sort of person mods should work against. Are you even barely aware of how much I have done for NXT and continue to do for NXT? No stfu with your ad hominem attacks

All I'm aware of is you're a Cock.

Yes, I am a cock for volunteering my time and energy on making NXT better and I am also a cock for attempting to divert a distribution disaster in NEM before it got out of hand :)Such a cock I want to suck myself

What have you done for NXT? cause whenever I see your name over on Bitcoin Talk your Cock status seems to be understood by most people there.

Already responded to your retarded questions.
As for the people over at BTT, yeah when you have strong principles and dare to bring up the truth without bowing for politics. I.E. the fact that people don't accept global warming over there, you will get a lot of drama.
But I choose to stay faithful to science and my principles of not self-censoring.

The other reason I get some flack over there is because I want NEXTCOIN to have more influence. TOday all the decisions are being made by a handful of BTTers and the 4500 NXTers here get no say. So I try to defend our right to have influence. that als ogets you enemies:)

But seriously let's not derail this thread further.

It seems that finally Utopian has heeded the call and is making some needed changes to NEM, so we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
I don't have more time to waste on this discussion. I wish NEM good luck and really hope to see it come to fruition in the way it was meant: 1 stake per person, no more, no less.

I'm very glad you're not self-censoring, that's a commendable quality. However, you know I won't self-censor either.  I'm glad you want Nxt to get more influence. I do too. To do my part in influence, I myself will be writing and e-mail to the author of that video that I gave you the link for, that you probably didn't bother to watch. I'm a regular listener to his show (biggest philosophy show on the internet) and a fellow anarcho-capitalist, so I'm pretty sure he'll listen. As Stefan Molyneux is the current holder of over 300 btc and will be attending the Texas bitcoin conference, I'm sure his investment and influence would be a great value to Nxt and the community. However... he IS a Global Warming skeptic. Bum bum BUHMMM!

Oh gaud, the hatred...

The only two complaint that were launched against nxt, were:
1) That its distribution was not fair.
2) That is is a premined scam.

Both those arguments are completely out of grounds and lack any credibility, because they both are subjective opinions and not facts of any kind.

Complaint 1 is a butthurt opinion by people who missed the bitcoin train and also did the same with nxt. Although more NXT than BTC are and will always be on circulation and although NXt gained a wider adoption than any altcoin after BTC. For them it is not "fair"(because "fair" to them means something completely different than the rest of the world).
Complaint 2 is also moot because it presupposes that premine=scam, an opinion shared only by people that have spent 5-figure amounts on mining rigs. A pos will make their equipment obsolete. A pos will make them eat their miners, so buy them a coke to help them swallow.

Now the same trolling accusations come forward with NEM. People call it a scam, because ANYONE can claim it, even multiple times. So they argue that a coin that is given for free has no value. Those are people that just want MORE for themselves.

The people that DO NOT WANT ANYONE TO HAVE A CHANCE WITH IT hate the fact that a coin can become precious for someone that gave nothing to acquire it in the first place ONLY BECAUSE THEY PAID THEIR MINING RIGS.

All of them are trying to make all of you forget a basic economic principle:
The currency that is being used for transactions (be it either $, euros, btc, nxt or shiny stones) has value ONLY BECAUSE THE MEMBER OF A COMMUNITY THAT IS USING IT trusts that the currency(again for the haters:any currency) WILL BE  adopted by the rest of the community.
It is that TRUST on a currency that gives the currency its value, and nothing else. You can have all the dollars in the world, if we all do business with BTC, you can only use dollars as firestarters.

This means that if you trust and use in a market a coin that you paid nothing to acquire, and it gains traction and value because of your trust, while someone else spent actual money to buy another coin, you actually had to spend less tha him. He is on the downside, the hating side. Because that particular someone had to spend money to acquire the wealth you acquired for free.
This is the only reason the haters have: they have already spend too much on other shit and they want that shit to rise in value.

Let the haters hate. People crying over someone elses' ability to make money don't have to be taken into consideration.
Especially if they just don't give a specific reasonable excuse on their butthurtness.
