TOPIC SUBJECT WAS: I HATE this coin!! Where is my money? Am I doing it right anyways??

Does your transaction pop up in the Blockchain explorer?
http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=100

Yeah I'm having almost exactly the same thing!!

Totally new to Nextcoin, I tried some of the clients (windows).

As far as I understood wallets were in the cloud and I had to make an extremely strong password for my account ID. I did all that and had someone send me my NEXT coins I bought.

I trust him, other deals went as promissed.

I went to the link you gave, but I cannot find anything back - don't I understand it, again? :(

This is the TX ID:

NXT    692   246477116375914651   2014-02-09 23:03:52   COMPLETE

To wallet NXT ID 246477116375914651

What can be going on? What should I do?? Am I hacked *already* (VERY strong long string!)? What's going on??

I don't think I like this coin anymore :(

Screenshots:

http://i.imgur.com/uqtXVfg.png (I can put anything here, right?? But unlocking this wallet?? How, besides with localhost in IE ;-() Because when I click the lock I get this:
http://i.imgur.com/dpUWUKE.png

I was first thinking I made a NXT wallet number ID exclusive to my localhost, but then again: I *do*  see all kinds of messages and peers come by.

Just my wallet stays empty!! :(( It's been long enough?
QUESTION: *IF* my funds were stolen... It would show up in the transaction list, no? Or wouldn't I see anything at all? http://i.imgur.com/CtpxIlv.png

I tried the block explorer: but that gives nothing either? As I gave a wrong number or as if I"m nexting all in me own, without being connected to the cloud.

WHAT GOES ON HERE??? This will NOT be the NEXT altcoin! Or Bitcoin :(

Please help ;-(

Devnullius, seriously, relax.

You already hate nxt even though you don't know if it's your fault or not? You're judging too fast.

That friend of yours didn't send you those nxt, or he was on a fork and the transaction got cancelled. Fact is: 246477116375914651 doesn't contain any nxt. And it never has.

You didn't get hacked, ask your friend to check the transaction again. The "TX ID" you mentioned is not a TX ID, it's just the account number.

Right now, it looks like the transaction didn't take place (or didn't get confirmed).

Yeah yeah, relax ;p

But I've been struggling with this strange NXT setup for a whole night already. When I finally figured it out, I thought, I did not receive the money.

The guy in question is in good faith - I'll check with him what could be wrong.

I copy pasted HIS confrimation code. Or at least, what he called TXID :)I'll ask him for advise, point him to this thread.

I want to get to the bottom of this :(

Devvie

PS: THANK you for your time, truly appreciated.

PS: still, 48 hour transaction times... How can one defend that??

No the coins are not lost if he spent them on a fork. The transaction doesn't get confirmed enough on a fork. if he would install the newest client from scratch and catch up with the longest chain, he would see the coins again in his account.

I think it's more probable that your buddy didn't send the nxt.

But you do have control over the account # 246477116375914651, right?

Sent you 10NXT to show that it works aaand already 1 confirmation :)

See, it is faster than 48h

Ah ok... Now the wallet starts to make sense - when there's 10 NXT in them ;)Thank you - appreciated. Send-back to...?

I finally got word back from the guy ('friend'). He asked me transaction details and while I was replying and formulating an answer, I also figured out pretty much what you explained above... He sent them coins to hyperspace where nobody knows his name. And solution in that case should be new client, for then the blockchain would still see them there in his wallet - the hyperspace order is ignored (unknown). As I put it ;)

He was cleaning up all kinds of strange cryptos from some exchange. So it kinda makes sense he still is in the pre-fork situation. Wrongly.

Other funds came through: I have 3 coins I can't confirm (wallet not synchronizing; SWAG, Molecule, Peacecoin)

So now it's waiting for my friend to finish his businesses ;p

Thank you for the feedback!

(PS: no more follow up means forked blockchain was the problem!)

The exchange screwed up? Ok - I thought you copy-pasted the TX-ID...? Which wasn't a TX-ID :)

I'll await you - good evening & good night for me!

Support has said that the transfer is being reposted due to a problem with the NXT wallet.

So I'll await that... No more replies: support solved it and I thank you guys. If not...? I'll be back  8)
