server security
« on: December 16, 2013, 02:01:25 PM »
I followed the instructions for opening the client for mac os X. When I tried to link to the 7875 server, firefox gave me loud
and dire warnings that the site was not secure:

"Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right  place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.127.0.0.1:7875 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is only valid for jetty.mortbay.org"

Did anyone else see this warning? Should I ignore it and proceed? Any help here would be appreciated.

Yes, since you're connecting to your own machine - 127.0.0.1.
