Price predictions?
« on: December 04, 2013, 03:26:54 PM »
I currently have my whole family and couple friends, interested in investing to some cheap coins and gaining some nice profits.

I'm wondering, if there is any price prediction for official start? I mean how much we can expect it to be after lets say a week after official opening? Any ideas?

Also, is it possible for NXT's price to go down after official launch? Lets say the price is going to be $0.02 per coin on December last days, can it go lower after official launch and if so, how much chances there are for it going lower?

honest answers then (just wanted to check before writing a lot):

"... gaining some nice profits" -> is what we all want  ;)

"... official start" -> NXT is launched, there is a client that can be downloaded, there is a market in the forums and an exchange where you can buy and sell Nextcoins

"... price predictions", "can prices go lower" -> nobody knows the future, maybe it goes up like crazy, maybe it crashes entirely - I believe NXT has a lot of potential, but is a highly speculative investment (which it has in common with all crypto-currencies)

Well yes, I understand most of your points.. But for official launch I meant January, 2014, when NxT hits exchange sites as I've read somewhere.

Don't know about that, if you find the source of this information, dig there and post here  :D
(And if this was common knowledge, then the current prices would again already reflect this information)

To the best of my information and belief, there is no official date for one of the big exchanges to accept NXT - but this might change!

... still don't know

but maybe you refer to a planned feature: an exchange integrated into the client

this will be a killer feature for sure - but we have to wait for the developer/s of NXT to implement or release this feature

As far as I know, everything in your link is correct, and the link is actually a pretty good summary of the situation. By exchange it means one of the features of Nxt, not adding Nxt to a traditional exchange, which anyway wouldn't be so simple because Nxt is not a direct clone of Bitcoin and has a different API. And we already have http://dgex.com/

Well let me speculate a bit..

1.  Client software become user friendly... and easy to use ...
2.  A few shops will be accepting xnt
3.  Btc.e and cryptsy trading nxt
-------   price goes 1$ up to 10$

All above +  satoshi nakamoto will release the white paper + the decentralised exchnage is up and running... well price goes up to 200-300$  or who knows

And that all can happen... or not if there will full shitload of bugs..   :o

You have to remember that there are 1 billion Nxt.  If the price goes to $1 the market cap would automatically be the same as LTC. If the price went to $10, that would be a 10 billion market cap, putting it where BTC was a few weeks ago.

While I expect BTC to eventually have a 100+ billion market cap, it will most likely take some time and nxt would have to ride that wave, to get anywhere close to $10, imo.

Of course, I expect 2014 to be the height of the crypto currency mania, so anythings possible I suppose.

Just a guess, Nxt will hit $0.1 in Jan after Jan 3rd release, that is, the market of 0.1 Billion dollars just go to the No. 3 ~ No. 5 of the cryptocurrency market.

When more people start knocking out items in the thread below, the price will continue to climb :)

Well since we are all realistically just guessing whats going to happen (prices, accepted exhanges, developement of client), here are my armpits... i mean opinions :)

They (the wallstreet fatcats) are working their way to be the first ones in the "mainstream" to invest in crypto, they are getting themselves and their insider friends in on the action (tons of money) prior to the floodgates being opened (untold amounts of money) to the entire mass population who themselves can do retardedly elementary math computations.  Computations like a 5%/year return is a SMALLER rate of return than 100s% in weeks or in some crypto cases 1000s% in weeks increase.

We are almost garenteed that it will go up from where it sets so buy some up and hold them check back in a month and look at your fortunes (or lack there of).

2Nxt for my 2 cents? :p thx
