As you might have noticed the NXT client needs Java 7 to run, but OSX 10.6.x won't let you install Java 7. Here's a little workaround:

Go to
Code: [Select]
/System/Library/CoreServices
Edit
Code: [Select]
SystemVersion.plist
Change ProductUserVisibleVersion = 10.6.x and ProductVersion = 10.6.x to
Code: [Select]
ProductUserVisibleVersion = 10.7.8
ProductVersion = 10.7.8
Install JDK 7 and change SystemVersion.plist back to normal

Go to and open
Code: [Select]
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.7.0_40.jdkuncheck both Java 6 VMs. Now Java 7 will load first.

If this helped you, feel free to donate some NXT for cigarettes and coffee to 5567681145144036875  ;)
